Updated: February 04, 2012, 03:10

tDUBAI, United Arab Emirates(AP) England removed both Pakistan openers after taking 42-run first innings lead on the second day of the third and final test.

Pakistan was 30-2 at lunch Saturday, having lost Mohammad Hafeez and Taufeeq Umar.

England was bowled out 141 in response to Pakistan's first innings of 99. Leftarm spinner Abdur Rehman completed a five-wicket haul as Pakistan stayed in contention for a victory that would complete a 3-0 series sweep.

England captain Andrew Strauss hit a gritty 56 off 150 balls in over three and a half hours before he was foxed by Rehman's flighted delivery and was stumped.

Rehman clean bowled James Anderson in the first over of the morning as England were bowled out quickly after resuming at 104-6.
